Harvest fruits and vegetables with some occasional loading and unloading of goods from trucks intended for roadside sales or wholesale deliveries. Assemble boxes for harvesting. Involves heavy lifting and working outdoors in summer heat. Work begins each morning at 6 a.m. sharp. Harvest trailer will take you from packing shed to work site in the orchard but must have own transportation to original pick-up point at the packing shed. Because work begins before 7am labor laws require age minimum to be 16 years of age. Average work week is 6 days/week with 8 to 10 hour days depending on weather and if fruit is determined to be harvest ready. Driver's license is a plus but not a must.

Drive Cooper Farms truck to and from predetermined sales location. Upon arrival will assemble roadside stand. Unload and load produce from truck to assemble, sort and stock fruits and vegetables for daily sales to public. Maintain colorful and attractive displays throughout the day. Sales abilities is a must! Upon completion of day return to farm and unload truck. Must be able to work alone without direct supervision and deal with public. Out of town locations include Conroe, Huntsville, Madisonville, Centerville, Buffalo, Waco (2 locations), Corsicana, and Ennis. You would be assigned one of these locations on a permanent basis. Hours worked would vary depending on how far you must travel to your assigned location. Would need to allow driving time in order to arrive at your location for the following hours. Typical work week hours would be: Mon 7:30-5:00, Tue-off, Wed & Thu 8:00-5:00, Fri 8:00-6:00, Sat 7:30-5:00, Sun 8:00-6:00. Average hours worked per week when including driving time would be 60 to 72 hours per week.

Start pay $6.50/hr and upward according to work experience and work performance.

Must be 17 years of age with valid driver's license and no record of moving violations. Must be able to work Wednesdays through Mondays, including Saturdays and Sundays throughout the entire summer and only taking off for school related activities.
